Helping people grow and succeed with great start-ups
I'm Feng (Robin) Zhou, Vice President of Human Capital at HongShan (formerly Sequoia China), based in Beijing.
My professional mission is centered on empowering people to grow and succeed with great start-ups. At HongShan, one of the leading venture capital firms, I work at the intersection of talent development and entrepreneurial success. I lead several key projects such as HongShan Fellow (hiring and developing young talent for start-ups), Mind+ (developing founders into CEOs), YUE accelerator (Hiring 101 Part) among other executive search and development initiatives.
I believe human capital drives business success. With strategic talent coverage, leadership development and market insights, I help founders and investors build winning capabilities.
Prior to HongShan, I helped build and develop global talent pipelines at JD.com, the publicly-listed e-commerce giant. My career journey started with being an English teacher at New Oriental School in Beijing, where I discovered my passion for helping people achieve their aspirations.
🧠I am passionate about psychology—with a focus on humanistic psychology and psychoanalysis in particular. I also enjoy exploring and experimenting with various AGI-powered products and tools, such as AI agents, smart glasses, and intelligent recording devices.
🎵 Beyond professional work, I am a core member of BREAK 11, a band backed by HongShan where I play 🎹 keyboard and occasionally 🎸 guitar. I embrace a wide range of music styles.
I'm always interested in connecting with founders, researchers, engineers, and anyone who is passionate about tech and innovation.
